The PROMIS Item Bank v1.0 - Emotional Distress - Anxiety - Short Form 8a is a collection of eight items drawn from PROMIS item bank - emotional distress - anxiety - version 1.0 (61922-1). PROMIS® (Patient Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System) instruments measure concepts such as pain, fatigue, physical function, depression, anxiety and social function by asking patient's questions about how they feel and what they are able to do. PROMIS® instruments may be used in clinical studies to provide clinicians and researchers with information on the effectiveness of therapy and development of treatment plans. The instruments are also used by patients and physicians to improve communication and manage chronic disease.
