These questions ask current and former smokers how often they worry about lung cancer and ask them to assess their perception of being diagnosed with lung cancer. These questions are only asked of current or former smokers. In order to exclude nonsmokers, the Cancer Working Group recommends adding a filter question. The recommended filter question can be located in the PhenX Toolkit. Please see question 1 of the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Substances measure Tobacco - Smoking Status (Adult Protocol).
