This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Implementation Guide for Ambulatory Healthcare Provider Reporting to Central Birth Defect Registries, HL7 Clinical Document Architecture (CDA). Major document sections for this guide include: 1) Birth defects diagnosis, 2) Coded results (relevant patient diagnosis procedures), 3) Payers section, 4) Cytogenetics section, 5) Labor and delivery history and physical, 6) Labor and delivery events, 7) Newborn delivery, 8) Care plan, and 9) the (patient) Disposition section.
