Riboflavin, flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) levels are measured for evaluation of riboflavin deficiency due to flavin synthesis/transport defects. Isolated riboflavin deficiency is rare and usually associated with other vitamin B complex deficiencies.[PMID: 18598588]
