This term was created for, but is not limited in use to, the bioMerieux bioNexia BTA assay, which is intended for the qualitative detection of bladder tumor-associated antigen (BTA) in human urine specimens. The test is indicated for use as an aid for screening high-risk populations and monitoring bladder cancer patients. The bioNexia BTA assay results should be read 5-6 minutes after the sample is applied to the sample well.
