This panel includes terms for the metabolic equivalent of task (MET) calculated based on the measured, estimated or reported exercise metabolic rate and the predicted resting metabolic rate (RMR). Four RMR prediction equations commonly used in clinical practice are Mifflin-St Jeor RMR, Owen RMR, WHO/FAO/UNU, and the Harris-Benedict RMR.[PMID: 15883556] The prediction equation that is used is reported using [LOINC: 82277-5].
