The quantitative (Ct) value of the hIS1001 insertional element DNA sequence of the Bordetella holmesii genome detected in clinical specimens or culture isolates. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Antimicrobial Resistance Laboratory Network's (ARLN) multiplex real-time PCR assay for the detection and identification of Bordetella pertussis, B. parapertussis, and B. holmesii.
