This panel contains results for cystatin C and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), using the CKD-EPI Cystatin C equation (http://ckdepi.org/equations/cystatin-c-based-equations/), in serum or plasma. This test is performed to assess renal function in patients suspected of having kidney disease and to monitor treatment response in patients with kidney disease.
