EN This panel contains results for the detection of Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), initially known as 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), in various specimens, including respiratory and serum, using nucleic acid amplification assays with probe-based detection for the diagnosis of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Various assays have been developed that contain primer-probe sets targeting regions of the SARS-CoV-2 genome, including regions in the RdRp, N, and E genes.
