Definicja i opis
The peak thrombin is the maximum thrombin measurement during a thrombin generation test. Decreased peak thrombin is associated with bleeding tendencies, while increased peak thrombin is associated with thrombosis. [PMID: 21262433] If the peak is significantly decreased in the presence of Factor VIII antibodies, that indicates that Factor VIII had a significant contribution to the baseline thrombin peak (measured without Factor VIII antibodies). [PMID: 12871369]
