This panel includes terms to report various subsets of natural killer (NK) and natural killer T cell (NKT) subsets. NKT are also known as NK-like cells. NK cells are typically differentiated by the presence of CD16 and/or CD56 and the absence of CD3. NKT cells are characterized by the presence of CD3 and CD56, with or without CD16. [PMID: 11094262]
